Pune: Four Booked For Abetment to Suicide In Connection With Death of Veteran Writer Rajan Khan’ Son

Pune 19th Oct 2023: The Pimpri Chinchwad Police have booked four people on charges of abetment to suicide in connection with well-known writen Rajan Khan’s son Debu Khan’s death. Debu was found dead at his residence in Shinde Vasti area at Somatane. The police have lodged a case following a complaint by the deceased’s sister at Talegaon Dabhade Police Station on October 17.

The accused named in FIR have been identified as Pandurang Suryavanshi, alias Deva, a resident of Hadapsar area, Pratik Jadhav, a resident of Bharati Vidyapeeth area, Ganesh Walunj and Akash Barane, alias Nanya Mauli Vadevale, both residents of Katraj.

According to the information provided to the police, the complainant has alleged that her brother had given money to the accused individuals to repay the bank loan taken by them and he was asking them to return the money. However, the accused repeatedly evaded returning the money, which allegedly caused considerable mental distress to Debú following which he took his own life on October 2. The police team from Talegaon Dabhade Police Station is investigating further in the matter.
