Pune: Four Men Assault Loni Kalbhor Farmer With Koyta, Iron Rod, And Stones Over Dispute

Loni Kalbhor, 26th December 2024: Four unidentified men, enraged over a previous altercation, attacked a farmer working at a poultry farm with an iron rod, a koyta, and stones. The farmer, Vijay Shrirang Kalbhor (46, resident of Loni Kalbhor), sustained serious injuries in the incident. The attack occurred around 5:30 pm on Monday (23rd December) at Wadale Wasti in the Loni Kalbhor area.

Vijay Kalbhor has filed a complaint at the Loni Kalbhor Police Station, and a case has been registered against Sonya alias Nikhil Ghayal (resident of Kadamwakvasti) and four unidentified associates.

According to the Loni Kalbhor police, Sonya alias Nikhil Ghayal, angered by a dispute in October, had called the complainant’s brother and threatened to kill him. On Monday, while Vijay Kalbhor and his brother were working in the field at Wadale Wasti, Sonya and his four associates arrived on a two-wheeler. They verbally abused the complainant and struck him on the head with the koyta in Sonya’s hand, seriously injuring him. One of the attackers also hit Kalbhor’s hands with an iron rod, while the others threw stones at his feet. The Loni Kalbhor Police are continuing their investigation.
