Pune: Four PCMC Properties Proposed For Mandal Officer, Talathi Offices In Bhosari

Bhosari, 29th September 2026: The offices of mandal officers and gram revenue officers (talathis) in the Bhosari Assembly constituency may soon get dedicated premises, with the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) initiating the process of making its commercial units and rooms available for the purpose.

The Additional Tehsildar’s office has sent a proposal to the PCMC seeking space at four locations — Borhadewadi, Dudulgaon, Wadmukhwadi and Dapodi. According to reports submitted by the concerned gram revenue officers, the identified premises are suitable for setting up the offices. However, the process of formally allotting the spaces is yet to be completed by the civic administration.

The issue was raised by Bhosari MLA Mahesh Landge during a meeting chaired by the Pune district collector on September 15, 2026. Landge highlighted the need for suitable and accessible premises for mandal officer and talathi offices in the constituency. Following the meeting, officials were directed to initiate further action regarding available spaces in buildings owned by the PCMC.

The proposed offices are expected to make it easier for residents to approach the local revenue administration for land-related matters, including land records, 7/12 extracts, 8-A extracts, mutation applications and tracking of such applications.

While several land-record services are available online through the state government’s land records department, citizens may still need to approach local revenue officials for applications, records and other local-level matters. Having clearly identified and easily accessible offices could therefore make it easier for residents to follow up on such work.

If the proposed spaces are made available, residents in the concerned areas of the Bhosari constituency may be able to approach revenue officials closer to their homes instead of having to travel elsewhere. The exact date on which the offices will become operational will be known only after the remaining administrative process is completed.

Landge said he had been pursuing the issue under the guidance of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule. He added that he would continue to follow up to ensure that the PCMC completes the process of making the proposed premises available at the earliest.
