Pune: Four Stray Dogs Found Dead In Katraj Area, Suspected Poisoning

Katraj, 3rd July 2023: Four stray dogs were found dead in the Gujar Vasti area of Katraj, Pune. Preliminary investigations indicate that these innocent animals may have fallen victim to poisoning through food.

Preeti Niwas Pawar, a 41-year-old resident of Gujar Vasti on Katraj-Kondhwa Road, has lodged a formal complaint at the Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station. The complaint highlights the gravity of the situation, prompting the authorities to register a case under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.

Preeti Pawar, known for her affection towards animals, expressed her deep concern and grief upon finding the stray dogs dead. In her complaint, Pawar strongly suspected foul play involving the deliberate poisoning of these helpless canines through tainted food.

Police Sub-Inspector Thorat has been assigned the responsibility of conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
