Pune: Fraud Of Rs 1.5 Crores With Lure Of Investment, Case Registered Against One
Pune, 24th November 2022: Rs 1.82 crore was taken from a businessman, to provide an investor for the reputed company, as a service charge. When the businessman started asking about the investor, the accused returned some money to the businessman without providing any investor. Overall, fraud of Rs 1.5 crore has been reported in the case.
After the businessman filed a complaint at Chaturshringi police station in this matter, a case of fraud was registered against the accused, Mahendra Khandve, a resident of Senapati Bapat Road, Pune. Rajesh Ishwarlal Mehta (61), a resident of Baner, Pune, has filed a complaint in this regard. The incident has been occurring since February 2021.
Complainant Rajesh Mehta is the owner of Ora Innovation Private Limited, and accused Mahendra Khandve is the owner of MYMS Global Limited. Khandve took a total of Rs 1.82 crore from Ora Innovation Private Limited for service charges by telling Rajesh Mehta that he will provide investors for the company.
However, as he did not provide any investors, the complainant demanded the money back. At that time, the accused returned Rs 29.8 lakh out of 1.82 crores. But the rest of the amount has been repeatedly defrauded from the complainant without repaying it and without giving any investors.
Assistant Police Inspector S Koli of Chaturshringi Police Station is conducting further investigation in this regard.
