Pune: Fraudster Arrested For Taking Rs 18 Lakhs With Lure Of Jobs In Zilla Parishad

Viman Nagar, 27th August 2022: It has come to light that youths were cheated of Rs 18 lakhs with the lure of giving Zilla Parishad (ZP) jobs. One has been arrested in this case.

The arrested person has been identified as Namdev Kanhu Jaibhaye (57),  a resident of Lohegaon, and another senior citizen has filed a complaint at the Airport Police Station.

The complainant is a senior citizen, resident of village Khaperton in Beed district, and does farming for a living. An acquaintance introduced the complainant to the accused Jaibhaye. Jaibhaye claimed to the son of a senior citizen and six of his other relatives that he would get them a job in the Zilla Parishad.

Later, Jaibhaye called them to Pune and collected Rs 18 lakh 13 thousand from them. Even after taking a big amount of money, Jaibhaye did not provide jobs in the Zilla Parishad (ZP). The senior citizen contacted Jaibhaye multiple times asking about the job, but Jaibhaye gave ridiculous reasons.

After realizing the fraud, the senior citizen lodged a complaint with the police. Based on the complaint, the police investigated further and arrested Jaibhaye. The police also suspect that Jaibhaye has cheated other people as well. Assistant Police Inspector Sahane is investigating further.
