Pune: Free COVID treatment at these nine hospitals, facilities of PMC

Pune, May 24, 2020: Although the number of Corona patients is increasing, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has started robust preparations to deal with it. The PMC has capacity for treatment of 2700 patients at its hospitals and at present 1600 patients have been admitted. Now PMC is expanding facilities to admit another 4,000 patients. Thus, PMC wants to have capacity for total about 7,000 patients.

The municipality has been preparing for the last few days in the wake increasing COVID19 cases. The number of Corona patients has increased to 4700 and over half of them have been cured till now. Now PMC has also sought the help of private hospitals and some hostels have also been taken over by the Municipal Corporation. Currently 918 patients admitted in 9 municipal hospitals are undergoing free treatment with medicines. Patients with corona symptoms can go directly to these hospitals for treatment, the municipal administration has appealed people.
