Pune: Free Pre-Training Opportunity for Aspirants Seeking Officer Posts in Armed Forces
Pune, 5th October 2026: Eligible candidates aspiring to join the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force as officers can avail themselves of free pre-training for the Services Selection Board (SSB) examination at the Pre-Recruitment Training Centre in Nashik.
District Sainik Welfare Officer Major S. Firasat has appealed to interested and eligible candidates from Pune district to appear for an interview at the District Sainik Welfare Office, Pune, by October 16, 2026, to avail themselves of the opportunity.
The training programme will be conducted from October 19 to 28, 2026, at the Pre-Recruitment Training Centre, Nashik Road, Nashik. Selected candidates will receive free training, accommodation and meals during the programme.
Candidates selected for the training are required to report to the Pre-Recruitment Training Centre, Nashik Road, at 10 am on October 18, 2026.
Candidates appearing for the interview in Pune must bring the admit card available on the Department of Sainik Welfare, Pune (DSW) website, along with two copies of the accompanying annexure, duly filled in.
Eligibility
Candidates who have qualified the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDSE-UPSC) or National Defence Academy Examination (NDA-UPSC) and have been shortlisted for the SSB interview are eligible for the training.
Candidates who have received an SSB interview call letter under NCC Special Entry, those holding an SSB interview call letter for the Technical Graduate Course, and candidates who have received an SSB call letter through the university admission system or whose names appear on the list recommended for the SSB are also eligible.
