Pune: Future Of Pune ‘Ring Road’ In Hands Of Private Land Owners; Out of Total of 1,740 Hectares, 1,601 Hectares Is Private Land

Pune, 30th September 2022: A total area of ​​1,740 hectares is to be acquired for the ring road proposed by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC). The maximum area of ​​1,601 hectares is private land. The land acquisition process has been initiated. The roads Corporation had initiated to solve the traffic congestion in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad cities by making roads 172 km in length and 110 m. wide.

The project is divided into two sections, East and West. The eastern part includes 11 villages in Maval taluka, 12 villages in Khed, 15 in Haveli, five in Purandar and three in Bhor, while the western part includes five in Bhor, 11 in Haveli, 15 in Mulshi and six in Maval taluka. The project is proposed by Maval, Mulshi, Khed, Haveli, Purandar and Bhor talukas.

A total area of ​​564 hectares is to be acquired through Maval, Mulshi sub-divisional officers. Among them, the private land is 520.32 hectares, Gayran land is 0.22 hectares, Forest Department has 23.52 hectares, and other departments have 20.40 hectares of area to be developed. Haveli sub-divisional officer private 485.89 hectares, Gayran 8.27 hectares, forest land 62.80 hectares and 6.85 hectares of other sections are going to be developed. Private 159.22 hectares, forest land 2.33 hectares through Bhor sub-divisional officer to be developed. 146.90 hectares of the private area through Purandar Sub Divisional Officer and 3.56 hectares of Forest Department area are going to be developed. Khed (Rajgurunagar) through sub-divisional officer private area of 288.95 hectares, Gayran land 3.8 hectares and 8.5 areas of the other section will be developed.

The east and west ring road passes through Maval, Mulshi, Haveli, Bhor, Khed and Purandar taluks. 83 villages will be affected in this project and counting 77 villages have been completed. Rs 250 crores for the first phase required for land acquisition has been approved and this fund has also been received. So the actual land acquisition process has started.

According to the district administration, the current market value (recalculator) rate, the transactions done in the last five years, and the rate given to other projects in the area, whichever is higher, will be given.
