Pune: Gambling Den Busted In Bhigwan, Politicians And Government Employees Among 26 Arrested People
Indapur, 14th June 2021: Police raided a gambling den at Nimbodi village in Bhigwan. 26 people including a leader of a political party and several government employees, political activists were arrested from this den.
According to the information given by the Pune rural police, the police received the information through an informer about this gambling den which was run near a hill at Nimbodi village in Bhigwan. They immediately raided the place. They seized a 1.12 lakh cash amount along with other things worth Rs 3.12 lakh. The den had eight tables where the gambling took place. Police arrested 26 people including the owner of the den Hanumant Manik Thorat. Due to the filmy style sudden raid, the people did not get the chance to run away.
In this action, many political activists, government employees and a criminal from Baramati was arrested. The action has been taken by in charge of Bhigwan police statin Jeevan Mane and his team.
