Pune: Gandhi Jayanti celebrated at Bapu Bhavan
Pune, 2nd October 2022: Pune’s National Institute of Naturopathy is an organization under the Ministry of AYUSH, Central Government , and its building at Matoshree Ramabai Ambedkar Marg (Tadiwala Marg) in Pune is known as ” Bapu Bhavan ” . Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated in this institution today- 2nd October 2022 , jointly with Department of Posts , Maharashtra-Goa Region of Union Ministry of Telecommunication . On this occasion , with the help of the Post Office , an exhibition of postage stamps related to the biography of Mahatma Gandhi has been organized. 10 am from today till October 4 The exhibition will be open for all till 6 pm .
The program started with garlanding the statue of Mahatma Gandhi . The ceremony was inaugurated by the chief guest of the program, Postmaster General of Pune Division, Ganesh Sawleswarkar. On this occasion (retired) Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Abhay Narayan , Director of Pune Division of Postal Service Simran Kaur , Director of Vaikunth Mehta Rashtriya Sahakari Prabandh Sanstha under the Union Ministry of Cooperatives, Dr. Hema Yadav , Vice President of ‘ International Rare Collecting Society ‘ Rajendra Shah , Senior Anthropologist and Gandhian Prof. R.K. Mutatkar , and Principal of Government Polytechnic Dr. Vitthal S. Bandal was present on the occasion.
Director of the Institute , Prof. Dr. K Satyalakshmi welcomed all the dignitaries with a fruit curtain and a shawl. In his welcome foreword , he explained the association of the National Institute of Naturopathy with Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi himself used to live in this institution and also treated the patients. Also here he conducted many naturopathy experiments , he gave information about many activities and facilities related to naturopathy in the institute.
The Chief Guest, Postmaster General of Pune Division, Ganesh Sawleswarkar , said that as we are moving away from nature , from natural lifestyle , we are falling prey to diseases and various diseases. He expressed the thought that as much as we take from nature , we should give back to it.
Other speakers also expressed their views about Mahatma Gandhi , his thoughts and principles. He said that Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy is useful not only for India , but for the welfare of all beings and mankind on earth .
The winners were announced and presented with certificates in the presence of distinguished guests. The Ozone Therapy Women’s Unit was then inaugurated. A Khadi fashion show was organized by the students of the institute on this occasion.
