Pune: Ganesh Pandal Catches Fire During JP Nadda’s Visit, No Injuries Reported
Pune 26th Sept 2023: A fire was reported at the Ganesh pandal of Sane Guruji Tarun Ganesh Mandal when the national president of BJP JP Nadda was visiting the pandal to perform aarti. A dome of the pandal made of thermacol caught sudden fire, said officials.
The officials swiftly reacted to the situation and two fire brigade vehicles and a water tanker were immediately rushed to the spot. Immediate action was taken to extinguish the fire and it was successfully controlled. “A fire incident is been recorded at Parvati Police Station.The cause of fire is the fire crackers used by the mandal to welcome the guest” Suhel Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of Police said.
The temple has a decoration of Ujjain’s Mahakal temple and BJP’s city president Dhiraj Ghate is a a member of ganesh mandal. JP Nadda was on a tour to Pune today and an aarti was performed by him at Sane Guruji Ganesh Mandal. No casualty or injuries were reported in the incident.
