Pune: Ganesha To Be Greeted With Sound Of Drums And Bells By Various Mandals

Pune, 31st August 2022: Ganaraya is arriving in Pune today to spread the fragrance of ‘Chaitanya Suman’ by eradicating the evils of Corona. After almost two years, with the sound of drums and the shouts of ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’, the entire city of Pune is ready to welcome Ganesha. The city will be duly enshrined with five most revered Ganpati mandals.

Shri Kasba Ganapati 

The installation of the first Ganesha of Punya Nagar village deity Shri Kasba Ganapati will be done at 11:37 am. On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of freedom, in honour of martyrs and freedom fighters who have sacrificed for the country, martyr Rajguru’s grandsons, Dhairyasheel and Satyasheel, will be involved. Before that, the procession will begin at 8.15 in the morning. Sangharsh, Band, Shriram Pathak and Prabhat Band will participate.

Shree Tambadi Jogeshwari Mandal

The arrival procession of Sri Tambadi Jogeshwari Mandal, seated in a silver palanquin, will begin at 10.30 am at Narayan Peth. From Mandar Lodge on Kelkar Road, the festival will reach Mandapam via Kunte Chowk, Ganapati Chowk. In this procession, Nagaravadan by Adhav Brothers, New Gandharva Brass Band, Shivamudra Dhol-Tasha Team, Taal Team, and Vishnunath Shankha Team are involved. The President and the Trustee of Maratha Chamber of Commerce, Mili Anant Kale and Meera Milind Kale will be present.

Guruji Talim Mandal

The inauguration of Guruji Talim Mandal ‘Shri’ will be held from 2 pm to 10 pm. It will be inaugurated by Puneet and Janhvi Balan. Before that, the arrival procession will begin at 10.30 am from Ganapati Chowk. The procession will start from Ganapati Chowk, going to Limbaraj Maharaj Chowk, Appa Balwant Chowk, Jogeshwari Chowk, and Ganpati Chowk Mandap. The procession includes Jayant Nagarkar’s Nagara Vadan, Atu Behre’s Women’s NadBrahm Team, Garjana Team Guruji Pratishthan, Shree Dhol Tasha Team Yerwada, Sam Pratishthan, and NadBrahm Trust Team.

Tulshibaug Ganapati Mandal 

Tulshibag Ganpati Mandal will be inaugurated at 2.30 pm by entrepreneurs Puneet and Janhvi Balan. Earlier, at 11 am, the procession will reach Utsav Mandap via Ganapati Chowk, Nagarkar Talim Chowk, Appa Balwant Chowk, Budhwar Chowk, Saadhan Chowk to Ganpati Chowk. The teams of Shivgarjana Samarth Pratishthan and Ugam will participate in this procession.

Kesariwada Ganeshotsav 

The Ganesha of Kesariwada Ganeshotsav will be inaugurated by Rohit Tilak. Before that, a procession, on a silver palanquin, will be taken from Raman Bagh Chowk to Kesariwada at 10 am. In the procession, there will be Nagara Vadan by Shriram troupe, Shivamudra Dholtasha troupe and Bidve brothers.

Akhil Mandai Mandal

The procession of Sharda Gajanan of Akhil Mandai Mandal will leave at 9 am in Mangal Kalash Rath decorated with flowers. The program will be conducted by Pratap Anant Gogavle and his wife, Aparna Gogavle, head of Sri Swami Samarth Math in Mangalwar Peth. The procession will leave from Sharda Gajanan Temple and reach the Mandai Police Chowk Rameshwar Chowk, and come back to Utsav Mandap via Mandai Police Chowk. Sharda Gajanan will be seated on a moving bed in a grand Swapna Palace decorated with colourful mirror chandeliers.

Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandir

Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Public Ganpati Trust’s ‘Shri’ will be inaugurated at 11:37 am by Guru Dattatreya Pithadhishwar Swami, Shri Maheshgiri Maharaj of Girnar, Gujarat. In the 130th year of the Trust, Shri Panchkedar Mandir was constructed. The electric lighting on the temple will be inaugurated at 7 pm by the State Minister for Higher Technical Education, Textiles and Parliamentary Affairs, Chandrakant Patil. An arrival procession of Garuda Rath “Shri” will be taken from the main temple after the consecration at 8.30 am. Garuda made of flowers will be placed on the chariot. The procession will take place via Main Temple, Appa Balwant Chowk, Shanipar Chowk, Tilak Putala Mandai to Utsav Mandai. Devlankar Bandhu Chaughda, Gaikwad Bandhu Sanai, Darbar Band, Prabhat Band and Gandaksha Dhol-Tasha Band will participate in the procession.

Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganapati 

Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganapati will be installed at 12.30 pm by the Minister of Higher and Technical Education, Chandrakant Patil. Before that, the procession will take place through Bhausaheb Rangari Bhavan – Budhwar Chowk – Appa Balwant Chowk – Futka Buruj – Bhau Rangari Marg – Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganapati Mandir. Teams like Jagdamba Vadya Team, Shakti Vadya Team, Abhedya Vadya Team, Vadya Vrinda Team, Chetak Vadya Team, Kalawant Vadya Team, Sri Vadya Team etc. will participate in this procession.
