Pune: Ganpati Immersion Procession Under Rain With Traditional Enthusiasm In Lonavala

Lonavala, 11th September 2022: An immersion procession was taken out in Lonavala to the sound of drums. The procession ended after seven and a half hours. The procession received some rain too. In Lonavala, on Friday at 6.30 pm, the procession of the first Ganesha of Honour (Manache) Raiwood Ganesh Mandal started from Mawla Chowk.

 

It was followed by the second Ganesha of Honour Tarun Maratha Mandal, Gavthan. Third, Rohidas Tarun Mandal, fourth Gawliwada, Mana’s fifth Shetkar Bhajani Mandal, Valvan, and sixth Rana Pratap Netaji Mitra Mandal’s Ganapati. The Dhol Tasha teams performed in front of the Mandals who participated in the immersion procession.

 

 

 

Lonavala Municipal Council, City Police Station, Ganaraya Award Committee, Bharatiya Janata Party, Congress, Nationalist Congress Party, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, Shiv Sena, and Satyanarayan Samiti welcomed and showered flowers. Mahaprasad was distributed by Satyanandan Tirthdham Ashram. Refreshments were distributed to the devotees by Ramdev Baba Bhakta Mandal, Lions Club.

 

 

 

The immersion procession ended around half past midnight. The procession was planned under the guidance of Pandit Patil, Chief Administrator of Lonavala Municipal Council. Arrangements were made under the guidance of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Lonavala Bhausaheb Dhole City Police Inspector Sitaram Dubal.
