Pune Police Commissioner Furious At Insistence On Playing Loudspeakers From Former Corporator’s Mandal
Pune, 11th September 2022: The procession dragged on as the troupe of former BJP corporator Deepak Pote, who participated in the immersion procession along Tilak Road, insisted on playing songs from loudspeakers at Tilak Chowk.
As the Chariot of the Mandal lingered at the same place for two hours, Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta’s temper finally rose and the Navnath Mandal procession of Pote, who insisted, was on the way.
The chariot of Navnath Mitra Mandal from Navi Peth was standing in one place for two hours at Tilak Chowk. Due to this, waiting was not available for the mandals coming behind. As the chariot stopped at the same place for two hours, senior police officers went there. It was requested that the mandal should move on the way. However, as the mandal remained on the spot, the Police Commissioner’s temper rose.
Police Commissioner Gupta went to the chariot of the Mandal as it did not proceed from the spot despite the instructions and orders to switch off the sound system. Former corporator Deepak Pote went on the chariot again. He asked to start the loudspeaker system.
