Pune: Ganpati Mandals Advised To Abide By SC Guidelines After PMC Checks Noise Levels

Pune, 31st August 2022: This year, the Ganesh Festival is being celebrated with great delight and excitement after two years of coping with the pandemic. The state-level pollution monitoring organization has however urged every Ganesh Mandal to rigorously abide with the standards established by the Supreme Court. It has also been given the mandate this year to monitor the levels of noise pollution and maintain them within acceptable ranges.

For the following five days, the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board will track the amount of noise. In light of this, they have chosen to keep an eye on 25 prominent locations in Mumbai and 18 in Pune.

 

Noise pollution reduction efforts are ongoing, which has contributed to a greater scale. All prominent mandal members have made the decision to abide by the rules set forth by the Supreme Court in order to prevent noise pollution and the buzz that is generated in residential areas.
