Pune: Girl Dies By Suicide After Boyfriend Refuses To Marry Her
Pune, 28th December 2022: A pregnant girl died by suicide by hanging herself after her lover refused to marry her. In this regard, police registered a case against the boyfriend and his relatives.
The deceased has been identified as Vinita Vikram Sawant (24), a resident of Janata Vasahat, Pune. Police registered the case against Sangram alias Pitya Vilas Pansare, his mother, aunt, and a woman. Sawant’s mother has filed a complaint at the Dattawadi police station.
Sawant and Pansare were in a relationship. The families knew they were going to get married. Meanwhile, Sawant became pregnant, and Pansare suspected her. He demeaned her, saying the child was not his.
After Pansare refused the marriage, Vinita Sawant died by suicide by hanging herself in her house five days ago. After the funeral, her mother lodged a complaint with the police. “Pansare, his mother, aunt, and a woman living next door tortured Vinita and forced her to commit suicide,” the complaint said.
