Pune: Government’s Role For Bhide Wada Should be Presented Effectively In Court; Chandrakant Patil’s Request To Advocate General

Pune, 6th January 2022: Bhide Wada in Pune has historical importance for Maharashtra. Therefore, the government is determined to develop this palace as a national monument.

Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil has requested the Advocate General of the state to effectively present the role of the government there as the dispute over the said memorial is going on in the High Court.

Patil today met the State Advocate General Birendra Saraf in Mumbai and held a detailed discussion regarding the court case related to Bhide Wada in Pune. Also briefed the Advocate General about the role of the Government.

“Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule started the first school for girls at Bhide Wada in Pune. The said place is an inspiration for women. The government is trying to develop this palace as a national monument so that the coming generation can also get inspiration for social work and education. However, the case is currently pending in the High Court as the two owners of the said place have gone to court. The government is trying to speed up the hearing of this case”, Patil said.
