Pune: Guardian Minister Orders To Take Strict Action Against Criminals Who Cause Terror

Pune, 4th January 2023: Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil ordered on Wednesday (4th January) that strict action should be taken against the goons spreading violence and terror in the city.

Patil said after inaugurating the Child-Friendly Room, which was introduced on the premises of Swargate Police Station.

On this occasion, Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr, Joint Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik, Additional Commissioner Rajendra Dahale, Deputy Commissioner of Police Smartana Patil, ACP Sushma Chavan, and Senior Police Inspector of Swargate Police Station Ashok Indalkar were present.

“The population of Pune city is increasing. Many people are coming to the city in search of jobs and employment, and their information is not with the police. Crime incidents are increasing in the city. The police must try to arrest the criminals.”

Patil mentioned that if criminals are given severe punishment, they will suffer in the real sense.

“Police and public prosecutors should try to increase the punishment by the courts. Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis has given instructions to increase the quantum of punishment. Criminals who commit serious crimes should not get bail. Efforts should be made to prove the crime and punish the criminals,” he added further.

“18 Police Stations in Pune City have Child-Friendly Cells. Child-friendly rooms have been created in police stations across the country for children who come to police stations with complaints.”

He said that complaints of women and children should be resolved on priority.
