Pune: Gurudwara Guru Nanak Darbar Marks 556th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji with Three-Day Celebration of Faith and Service

Camp, 5th November 2025: On the auspicious occasion of the 556th birth anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism and the first Sikh Guru, Gurudwara Guru Nanak Darbar in Pune Camp hosted a grand three-day celebration filled with devotion, community service, and spiritual harmony.

The festival brought together the Sikh community and devotees from across Pune in the true spirit of seva (selfless service) and simran (meditation), upholding the timeless teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

As part of the celebrations, the Gurudwara organized several free medical camps, including blood donation drives, eye check-ups, cervical screening, and other healthcare initiatives, all conducted as acts of seva for the public.

Throughout the three days and nights, the Gurudwara reverberated with divine kirtan as renowned ragis and kirtanis from across India—including those from the Golden Temple, Amritsar—performed Gurbani for the Sangat (devotees). The celebrations witnessed a large turnout of devotees who came to pay their heartfelt respects to Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

In a video message shared during the event, the President and Management Committee of the Gurudwara expressed their gratitude to the Sangat for their active participation and announced upcoming community welfare initiatives. The Gurudwara plans to start an Eye-OPD and has also begun construction of a new school at Undri, where it owns 1.5 acres of land.

The three-day celebration not only reflected the deep-rooted faith and unity of the Sikh community in Pune but also reinforced Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s universal message of equality, compassion, and selfless service.
