Pune Gurudwara Sends Mobile Clinic to Aid Punjab Flood Victims

Camp, 11th September 2025: In a compassionate response to the unfolding health crisis in flood-hit Punjab, the Sikh community of Pune has dispatched a fully equipped mobile clinic to deliver essential medical care to affected families.
The specially arranged mobile unit will reach remote villages where access to hospitals and healthcare centres has been cut off by flooding. Stocked with medicines to treat fever, diarrhoea, malaria, colds, and post-disaster infections, the clinic will be run by a team of medical staff and volunteers, providing on-the-spot treatment and emergency care.
Explaining the initiative, Trustee Surinder Singh Dhupar said:
“We are sending one MBBS doctor with this mobile clinic along with all required medicines. The unit will travel to villages and conduct check-ups. The vehicle is fully air-conditioned, equipped with a stretcher bed, injections, and partitions so that two doctors can assist patients at the same time. This mobile clinic will operate for three to four months in Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir before returning. It is our commitment to ensure healthcare reaches those in need.”
The Sikh community in Pune has also assured that continuous supplies of medicines and volunteers will be coordinated through Gurudwaras to keep the clinic operational as long as required.
