Pune: Happiness of Palkhi Sohala Marred; Warkari Hit by Speeding Crane, Dies on the Spot
Talawade, 18th June 2025: A speeding crane fatally hit a warkari, killing him on the spot. The incident occurred around 11:30 am today on Dehu-Alandi Road in Talawade.
Police sources told Punekar News that the warkari has been identified as Narayan Godve (57), a resident of Solapur. He was walking from Dehu to Alandi when the crane struck him near Shelar Wasti in Talawade.
Chikhali Police rushed him to Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial (YCM) Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Using his phone, police contacted his daughter, who lives in Mumbai. The crane driver has been detained, and a case is currently being registered against him.
