Pune Heritage Walks had organized a ‘Ganpati Mandal Hopping Walk‘ in Pune on Saturday 3rd & Sunday, 4th September 2022.
They visited the 5 Manache (Respected) Ganpati Mandals of Pune – Kasba, Tambadi Jogeshwari, Guruji Talim, Tulshi Baug, Kesari Wada and Bhau Rangari, Dagadusheth, Mandai & Babu Genu; a total of 9 old Ganesh Mandals of Pune telling them about the history of very mandal and the origin story of the Sarvajanik Ganesh Festival. The walk participants were treated with Modak, the sweet prasad offered to Lord Ganesh. There were a total of 111 participants in the walk spanning both days including 2 foreigners.
The walk was conducted by PHW`s founder & walk leader Randhir Jaya Naidu and assisted by Nayan Vishwakarma.
