Pune Hosts First Free District-Level Ju-Jitsu Camp; 226 Players Participate

Pune, 18th April 2025: Ju-Jitsu, one of the top 5 martial arts disciplines of the world that emerged in Japan, has been recognized by world and Asian organizations and has been included in the Asian Games, World Sports Championships and World Police Games. The first free district-level Ju-Jitsu sports camp held recently at Versatile Junior College, Pune was a success. 226 players from Pune city participated in the camp.

International athletes Santosh Chormale and Saurabh Kinholkar explained about the various exercises and techniques used in this sport, which increases body strength, flexibility and muscle strength, as well as relieves mental stress. The camp was organized by Rajesh Pujari, Secretary of Ju-Jitsu Association of Pune.

President of Ju-Jitsu Association of Pune Rajesh Dhiwar, Sagar Shilimkar, Omkar Lavhe, Sohail Sheikh, Saddam Pathan, Vinod Yadav, Saurabh Mungse, Rahul Bhawal, Vivek Adimoolam, Suvarna Joglekar, Manisha Gadre, Yogesh Theek, Vijay Dhene, Smita Savardekar, Akash Tupasundar, Chaitra Pujari, Harshini Pujari and other officials were present in the camp. On this occasion, sports trainers were felicitated by Rajesh Dhiwar and Rajesh Pujari.
