Pune: Hotel owner murdered in Narhe, Cops launch search for accused persons

Pune: A hotelier was stabbed to death with a sharp weapon at Narhe on Friday around 6.15 pm. A case was registered at Sinhagad Road police station till late last night.

The deceased has been identified as Sunil Barku Langore (35), resident of Narhe. According to police, Langore lives in the Narhe area. He operated a small snack centre next to his residence. He had been opening the hotel alone for the past few days as his workers had moved to their native places due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Langore was offering parcels of tea and snacks.

He opened the hotel as usual on Friday. After a scuffle with some people who came to the hotel, assaulted him with a sharp weapon. The local residents informed the Sinhagad police station about the incident. Senior police inspector Nandkumar Shelke and other staff rushed to the spot. The body was sent to Sassoon Hospital for autopsy. The detection branch and Crime Branch teams are investigating the case.
