Pune–Howrah Summer Special Trains Announced
Pune, 19th April 2026: Central Railway has announced Summer Special train services between Pune and Howrah to manage increased passenger demand during the summer travel season.
According to railway officials, a total of four trips will be operated under the Pune–Howrah–Pune Special service.
Train No. 01407 Pune–Howrah Special will depart from Pune at 15:50 hrs on April 20 and April 26, 2026, and is scheduled to arrive at Howrah at 02:00 hrs on the third day. In the return direction, Train No. 01408 Howrah–Pune Special will leave Howrah at 15:45 hrs on April 22 and April 28, 2026, reaching Pune at 05:15 hrs on the third day.
The train will comprise a total of 18 ICF coaches, including 10 Sleeper Class coaches, 6 General Second Class coaches, and 2 Guard/Luggage Vans (SLRD).
Railway authorities stated that reservations for Train No. 01407 will open on April 19, 2026, at 15:00 hrs across all computerised PRS centres and on the IRCTC website.
The General Second Class and Guard/Luggage Vans will operate as unreserved coaches. Tickets for these can be booked through the UTS system at normal fares applicable for Superfast, Mail, and Express trains.
Passengers have been advised to check detailed halt timings before travel through the official railway enquiry portal or the NTES mobile application.
