Pune: Husband Made Wife’s Fake Facebook Account And Tried To Defame Her By Messaging Strangers
Pune, 16th September 2022: A case has been registered against the husband for defaming his wife by creating a fake Facebook account and sending friend requests to different people.
The 48-year-old wife has filed a complaint in this case. Accordingly, a case has been registered against the husband who lives in Goa, by the Chandan Nagar police station.
In April 2022, the woman’s husband created a fake Facebook account in the name of the complainant. He uploaded a defamatory profile picture and posted some defamatory text on it.
He then sent friend requests to different people and sent messages like “call me” to strangers and tarnishing his wife’s social image. He has also threatened the complainant by sending obscene messages on WhatsApp.
Meanwhile, after all this, the complainant filed an FIR against her husband in the cyber police station. After investigating this application, a case has been registered against the concerned husband at Chandnagar Police Station. Police are now investigating the matter further.
