Pune: Hyena Rescued from Impression Systems Premises by Maharashtra Forest Department
Chakan, 13th September 2024: The Maharashtra Forest Department received a report about a wild animal entering and getting stuck in the premises of Impression Systems and Engineering Private Limited near Chakan today. Range Forest Officer (RFO) Santosh Kank instructed his team, and a group from the Chakan Division of the Forest Department went to the spot. Upon arrival, the team discovered that the animal was a Hyena.
The rescue operation began at 9 AM and continued for approximately three hours until around 1 PM. The Hyena was safely captured and is now being treated by experts to whom it was handed over. Chakan RFO Santosh Kank led the rescue mission, with significant help from Forest Officer Yogita Nayakawadi, Forest Guard Veer Rao Saheb Chaure, Banker Sagar Chavan, Raghu Thakar, and Raju Mengal.
Ratnesh Shevkari, Prafulla Tanksale, Shantaram Gade, Sachin Bhope, and Gargote of the Chakan Rescue Team also provided valuable support. Impression Systems and Engineering Pvt Ltd thanked and appreciated the Chakan Forest Department and Chakan Forest Rescue Team for their successful rescue mission.
