Pune: IMD Predicts Rise In Temperature In Coming Days; Lohgaon Records 38°C As Pune Witnesses Unusual Weather Patterns

Pune, 7th March 2025: Pune is witnessing an unusual weather pattern, with chilly mornings followed by scorching heat during the day. On Thursday (March 6), Lohgaon recorded the highest maximum temperature of 38°C. The Pune Division of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a slight rise in both maximum and minimum temperatures over the next two days across the city and district.
Over the past two days, there has been a significant drop in minimum temperatures, plunging from 17°C to 12°C. As a result, residents are experiencing cool nights and early mornings. On Thursday morning, Talegaon and Haveli recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 12°C, while other areas also witnessed a drop of 2°C to 3°C.
Conversely, maximum temperatures have increased by 1°C to 1.5°C over the past 24 hours, intensifying the daytime heat. Lohgaon and Chinchwad recorded the highest temperature at 38°C, followed by Magarpatta at 37.3°C, NDA at 37.2°C, Shivajinagar at 36.7°C, and Pashan at 36.6°C.
With fluctuating temperatures, Pune residents are experiencing a mix of summer heat and winter chills within the same day, making it a challenging time to adapt to the changing weather.
