Pune: In-Laws Force Superstitious Beliefs Onto Daughter-In-Law, Case Registered Against Three
Pune, 16th September 2022: An incident showing the culmination of superstition has come to light in a case filed in Pune. Reportedly, the act was done by in-laws with a highly educated daughter-in-law. The daughter-in-law was opposed to wearing black clothes on the pretext of not conceiving.
The incident took place in the Loni Kalbhor area of Pune. The victim is working in a reputed IT company in Pune. The woman was harassed continuously by her mother-in-law, father-in-law and husband for the past few days. Not only this, the woman was repeatedly told that she should not wear black clothes as she was not having a baby.
Apart from being forbidden to wear black clothes, the daughter-in-law was forced to apply Kumkum every day. It was also feared that something would happen to her if she did not apply it. Apart from this, the woman was also constantly shown obscene videos by her husband. It was further believed that if she did not bring silver items from her family, she would not have a child.
After all this became unbearable, finally, the concerned daughter-in-law told the family all about it, after which the police registered a case against the mother-in-law, father-in-law and husband.
