Pune: Inauguration Of Biogas Project By Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao

Pune, 25th January 2023: A modular biogas project with a storage capacity of 10,000 liters was inaugurated by Divisional Commissioner Saurabh Rao at the Divisional Commissioner’s office. Deputy Commissioner Varsha Ladda-Untwal, Naina Bondarde, Ramchandra Shinde, Rahul Sakore, and Joint Commissioner Poonam Mehta were present on this occasion.

Divisional Commissioner Rao informed that this project is useful as it is environment friendly. In this, 100 kg of waste will be disposed of every day. The wet waste from the canteen in the premises of the commissioner’s office will be used for this biogas project and the wet waste will be managed properly.

He further said that this project has been started with the joint efforts of the Divisional Commissioner’s Office, the Kashtkari Panchayat, and the Vayu Company, and such projects should be implemented in the Collector’s Office, University, Zilla Parishad, etc. “Also, the project should be started in Satara, Solapur, Sangli, and Kolhapur Collectorate in Pune Division, and it should be noted that the technical difficulties encountered during the implementation of the project will be solved immediately.”

On this occasion, Commissioner Rao inspected the project and took the information.
