Pune: Income Tax Department Conducts Searches At Multiple Locations Of Chinese Company Haier

Pune, 28th July 2023: The Income Tax Department has launched a series of searches at various locations belonging to the renowned home appliances company Haier. The searches are being conducted at multiple sites, including the company’s plants and the residences of its promoters. The company has a factory in Ranjangaon, Pune district, Maharashtra.

The Income Tax Department is reportedly looking into the financial records and transactions of the company to ascertain compliance with tax regulations. The searches were initiated simultaneously in both Mumbai and Pune, where Haier has significant operations and a strong presence as well as in Noida.

Haier, a prominent player in the consumer electronics and home appliances industry, has garnered attention from tax authorities, leading to the present investigation. As the search operations continue, the department aims to gain insights into the company’s financial dealings and ensure adherence to tax laws.
