Pune: Injured Ammunition Factory Khadki Officer Dies During Treatment

Khadki, 3rd February 2022: Deepak Raghunath Thakre, a Junior Works Manager/Technical (Chemical) of Ammunition Factory Khadki (AFK), Pune, who was injured in an accident while drying explosives on 24th January, succumbed to injuries during treatment on February 2nd.

“He was hospitalised for treatment and has been given the best possible medical care. The officer expired on 2nd February 2022 at around 9.20 am. Further, the case of an accident is being investigated by the higher-level departmental enquiry committee”, AFK stated in a press release.

Ammunition Factory Khadki (AFK), established in 1869, presently a unit of Munitions India Limited,under Ministry of Defence, a Government of India enterprise, is a premier unit for small arms and artillery ammunition for Indian Armed Forces.
