Pune: Inmate Attacked Inside Yerawada Jail, Case Registered
Pune 4th Oct 2023: In yet another incident of clashes reported between two inmates inside the Yerawada Jail, an inmate was attacked using a broken tin shade causing serious injuries. The incident took place on October 2 and a case has been registered in the matter at Yerawada Police Station.
According to officials, Rishabh alias Sunny Shewale an inmate jailed under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) was attacked by another inmate identified as Rohan Haridas Mane. The incident took place on the circle one area inside the jail on Monday. Sunny sustained injuries in the attack and was provided treatment. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
