Pune Innovator Alok Kale to Receive Sustainability Award for Eco-Friendly Construction Solutions

Pune, 6th December 2024: Renowned IT pioneer Padma Vibhushan Narayana Murthy will honour Pune-based entrepreneur Alok Kale- Founder and Managing Director of Magnus Ventures, with the second ‘Sustainability Crusader Award 2024’ under the ‘Sustainability Start-up’ category by J. P. Shroff Foundation.

This is the second year of the award and will be presented by Narayana Murthy as the Chief Guest at a special event being organised on 20th December 2024 at the Grand Sheraton Hotel Pune in the presence of esteemed jury members, Padma Vibhushan Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar-Chairperson of the Jury and Former Director General Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Pradeep Bhargav-Chairman MCEF, Ashish Gaikwad-MD Honeywell, and Ganesh Natarajan-Chairman 5F World.

This award honours Alok’s remarkable work in making construction more sustainable based on decade long Research & Development. He has worked relentlessly in creating eco-friendly products certified by IGBC GreenPro and GRIHA, which have some of the lowest carbon footprints in the world. His efforts have been focussed on diverting industrial waste from landfills and reducing the construction industry’s dependency on natural resources. Under his leadership, Magnus Ventures has grown multi-fold in three years and introduced sustainable products like tile and stone adhesives, plasters, mortors, grouts and screeds that are now widely used by Pune’s leading construction companies.

The award institutionalised by J.P Shroff Foundation in 2023 promises to spotlight the significant impact of sustainable innovation on industrial growth and environmental preservation, further emphasizing the need for eco-conscious business models.
