Pune: Laxmi Road To Be Closed For Traffic On 11th December For Pedestrians Day Celebrations
Pune, 6th December 2024: Pune’s Laxmi Road will be closed to traffic on 11th December in observance of Pedestrians Day. All types of vehicles will be restricted from entering the stretch between Limbaraj Maharaj Chowk (Nagarkar Talim Chowk) and Garud Ganpati Chowk from 8 AM to 8 PM. The Pune City Police Commissionerate’s Traffic Branch has issued an official notification regarding this.
The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will celebrate Pedestrians Day on 11th December by closing traffic on Laxmi Road and organising various programs. Drivers are advised to use the alternative routes provided. The details of the alternative routes are as follows:
– Vehicles travelling from Nagarkar Talim Chowk to Tilak Chowk via Laxmi Road should turn left at Nagarkar Talim Chowk and proceed to their destination via Bajirao Road and Appa Balwant Chowk.
– Vehicles heading from Kumthekar Road to Laxmi Road should turn at Shanipar Chowk and proceed via Bajirao Road and Appa Balwant Chowk.
– Vehicles coming from Lokhande Talim Chowk in Narayan Peth to Laxmi Road should take Kelkar Road and Tilak Chowk to reach their destination.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Amol Zende, in charge of the Traffic Branch, has urged citizens to cooperate and use the designated alternative routes.
