Pune: IT Engineer Out For Dinner Found Murdered In Wagholi Area, Police Investigation On
Wagholi, 13th May 2023: A 35-year-old IT engineer who had gone out for dinner on Friday night, was found murdered today.
The deceased has been identified as Gaurav Suresh Uravi, a resident of Kharadi and originally from Shivajinagar, Amravati. The police control room received a call about a body discovered near the foot of the hill on Lohgaon-Bhawadi road in Wagholi. A team rushed to the spot and found that Gaurav had been fatally stabbed in the neck with a sharp weapon. A case has been registered at the Lonikand police station, Pune City police.
According to preliminary information, Gaurav worked for an IT company in Kharadi and resided in a society with his friends in the same area. On Friday night (May 12), around 10 pm, Gaurav informed his friends that he was going out for dinner. However, he failed to return late at night. His lifeless body was discovered on the Lohegaon-Bhawadi road the following day. The motive behind Gaurav’s murder is not clear yet. Lonikand police are investigating the case.
