Pune: Jumbo Recruitment In PCMC If State Government Approves Plan
Pimpri, 25th March 2023: The outline has been revised keeping in view the expansion of Pimpri-Chinchwad city and the increased workload. Initially, a total of 11,513 various posts were approved in the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) structure. Again the number of posts has been increased by revising the format.
As many as 5,325 posts have been created in it. Therefore, a revised pattern of 16,838 posts has been prepared. After the approval of the government, people for the posts will be recruited from the municipal corporation.
Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has been included in the ‘B’ category. Also, in view of the growing population and increased work pressure, more officers and staff are required. For that, a revised framework has been prepared by the Municipal General Administration Department. It has a total of 16,838 posts in various groups. 5,325 posts have been newly created as compared to the previous scheme.
Meanwhile, the old motif was created during the then Commissioner Shravan Hardikar’s tenure. It was during that time that the state government approved that motif. However, due to the ban on recruitment and the corona epidemic, those posts could not be filled. The state government had given the green light to the recruitment of employees in medical, health, and essential departments only. Therefore, only 7,053 posts out of 11,513 were currently active. Due to this, there is additional work stress on the municipal employees.
The proposal for the new format has recently been sent to the state government for approval. If approved, the municipality will implement the jumbo recruitment process. First, the posts in the essential department will be recruited. It is necessary to get approval from the state government.
Exams and interviews were conducted for nurses and other posts in the medical department through a private organization. Online applications have been invited for a total of 386 posts of Junior Engineer, Civil Engineering Assistant, Health Inspector, Additional Legal Adviser, Legal Officer, Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Divisional Fire Officer, Garden Superintendent, Assistant Garden Superintendent, Garden Inspector, Horticulture Supervisor, Court Clerk, Animal Keeper, and Social Worker. As many as 1.30 lakh applications have been received till October 2022. Officials said that these exams will be held in May.
