Pune: Schoolboy Attacked By Minors With Sharp Weapon In Lonavla, Three Detained
Lonavla, 25th March 2023: An incident occurred in Lonavla where a schoolboy was attacked by three minors with a sharp weapon. Reportedly, the victim was seriously injured in the beating, and the police detained the three attackers.
Aqib (16), a resident of the Kamshet area, was injured in the attack. He filed a complaint at the Lonavla city police station, and the police detained three children living in the Dongargaon and Agwali Chal areas of Lonavla. According to the police, the minors have been placed in a juvenile correctional facility as ordered by the Juvenile Justice Board.
Aqib attends school in the Gawliwada area of Lonavla. He had left the school premises when three boys caught and beat him. He was stabbed in the stomach with a sharp weapon and hit in the head with a hard object. The police rushed to the scene upon receiving information about the incident, and Aqib was immediately admitted to the hospital. Sub-Inspector Mujavar is investigating the case under the guidance of Police Inspector Sitaram Dubal.
Earlier, there was a fight between schoolchildren in the Lonavla city area, and a video recording of the altercation went viral on social media. A few months ago, another schoolboy was stabbed with a weapon on Kurwande Road in Lonavla.
