Pune, 3rd May 2025: In the wake of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the Kalepadal Police Station conducted a security review meeting with local lodge and hotel owners on Friday afternoon to tighten vigilance measures within the jurisdiction.

The meeting at the Kalepadal Police Station was led by Senior Police Inspector Mansingh Patil. It focused on strengthening security protocols to prevent any untoward incidents in the area.

Inspector Patil said, “Owners and operators of lodges and hotels were instructed to strictly verify the identity of every guest and maintain proper records. This is a critical step in ensuring that no suspicious individuals go undetected.”

The following key directives were issued during the meeting:
Thorough verification and documentation of all guests must be maintained in the lodge registers.
Foreign nationals must be registered using the C-form, along with photocopies of their passport and visa.
Background and character verification of all lodge workers is mandatory.
Employment of child labour is strictly prohibited.
High-definition and night vision CCTV cameras must be installed to cover lodge entrances and adjoining roads.
Adequate firefighting equipment must be available at the premises to address emergencies.
Emergency contact numbers should be visibly displayed on the lodge facade.
Lodges must ensure that vehicle parking does not obstruct nearby roads or entrances.
Any suspicious persons must be reported immediately to the Police Control Room (Dial 112) and Kalepadal Police Station.
Inspector Patil added, “Security is a shared responsibility. Lodges are often used as temporary accommodations, and loopholes in guest verification can be exploited by anti-social elements.”

Representatives from 17 lodges and hotels participated in the session, including Daulat Lodge, Shree Lodge, New Royal Lodge, Harsh Lodge, Gautam Lodge, Suyog Lodge, Sai Siddhi Lodge, Rituraj Lodge, Shanya Inn Lodge, Tatva Lodge, Royal Rest Room, Prithvi Executive Lodge, Mountain High Inn Lodge, Royal Garden Resort Lodge, Achal Lodge, Anand Lodge, and the Corinthians Club.
