Pune: Pimpri-Chinchwad Man Arrested for Sending Obscene Messages and Calls to BJP Leader Pankaja Munde

Pimpri-Chinchwad, 3rd April 2025: A 25-year-old man, Amol Kale from Pimpri-Chinchwad’s Bhosari area, was arrested for repeatedly harassing Environment and Climate Change Animal Husbandry Minister of Maharashtra Pankaja Munde with obscene messages and phone calls. Over the past several days, Kale sent inappropriate obscene messages and made persistent calls to Munde, prompting her office to file a complaint with the Cyber Police.

Following the complaint, the Cyber Police registered a case under sections 78 and 79 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and relevant provisions of the IT Act. With assistance from Bhosari Oolice, Kale was tracked down and taken into custody. During interrogation, he admitted to contacting and harassing Munde. The court has remanded him to two days of police custody as authorities continue to investigate his motives.
