Pune: Kalewadi Man Arrested For Posting Defamatory Video Against Devendra Fadnavis
Wakad, 5th March 2021: Pimpri Chinchwad Police have arrested the man who posted a video with offensive and defamatory content on YouTube against the Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The incident took place at Jagtapanagar, Thergaon on Tuesday (March 2).
Police said that the arrested accused has been identified as Yuvraj Bhagwan Dakhle, a resident of Tapkirnagar, Kalewadi. A 37-year-old woman lodged a complaint in this regard at Wakad police station on Thursday.
According to police, the accused had posted a video of Devendra Fadnavis on YouTube with offensive, obscene and defamatory content. The video was circulated on social media.
A case has been registered under sections 294 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code. Wakad police have arrested the accused for questioning and an investigation is underway.
