Pune, 29th August 2025: Entrance No. 2 of Kasba Metro Station on the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation to Swargate metro line was inaugurated today by Kasba Assembly MLA Hemant Rasne. The new entrance, opened just ahead of the Ganesh festival, is expected to provide significant convenience to devotees arriving for Ganesh Darshan.

The entrance has been constructed at the site of the former Sattoti Police Post. Being directly connected to the main road, it will benefit residents of Kasba Peth, Somwar Peth, Mangalwar Peth, Rasta Peth, Bhai Ali and Bhim Nagar. It will also ease access to Kamala Nehru Hospital, one of the major civic hospitals in the city.

According to officials, the new facility will make it easier for commuters to reach the metro station from the main road, reducing travel time and congestion in the area.

In addition, escalators at Entrance No. 2 and Entrance No. 3 of Yerawada Metro Station were also opened for public use today, enhancing passenger convenience.
