Pune, 13th October 2021: Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park in Katraj will be re-opened for the public by early November considering the social distancing norms and safety.
“We are currently working on formulating guidelines to open the zoo full-fledged for visitors”, Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park director Dr Rajkumar Jadhav told Punekar News.
Visitors can now book the tickets online and pay via UPI services, debit cards to avoid crowding at the booking centre.
The officials of Zoological Park were in discussions with the information technology department of Pune Municipal corporation (PMC) to upgrade the old system of online registration and ticketing for visitors.
The Katraj zoo has been closed for the public ever since the nationwide lockdown was announced in the wake of covid-19 in March 2020.
