Pune: Khadak Police Recover Stolen Cash Worth Rs 5.25 Lakhs In Swift Two-Hour Operation

Shukrawar Peth, 18th October 2023: The officials from Khadak police station in Pune seized stolen cash amounting to Rs 5.25 lakhs within two hours of receiving the complaint. The cash had been stolen from a cake material shop in the Kashewadi area.

The arrested accused has been identified as 27-year-old Akash alias Zurlya Vitthal Patole, a resident of Kashewadi, Bhawani Peth, Pune. Police said that there are many theft cases registered against him.

The complaint was filed by Hafizur Rahman Kayamuddin Ansari (50), residing in Nanapeth, Pune.

According to the complaint, the burglary occurred between 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 15th, and 8 a.m. on Monday, October 16th. Upon receiving the complaint, the Khadak police team swung into action and were able to apprehend the suspect and recover the stolen cash within two hours. The action was taken based on tip-off received by policemen Ashish Chavan and Akshay Kumar Wable.

The operation was conducted under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 1) Sandeep Singh Gill, ACP (Faraskhana Division) Ashok Dhumal and Senior Police Inspector Sunil Mane. The team included Police Inspector (Crime) Sampatrao Raut, Assistant Police Inspector Rakesh Jadhav, Nitinkumar Naik, Police Sub-Inspector Aziz Baig and policemen Sandeep Talekar, Ashish Chavan, Sagar Ghadge, Mangesh Gaikwad, Sagar Kudle, Akshay Kumar Wable, Rafiq Nadaf, Lakhan Dhaware, Sameer Tamboli, Tejas Pande and Ashraf Shaikh.
