Pune: Khadakwasla Dam Now 100% Full, Water Discharge Level Increased To 11900 Cusecs

Khadakwasla, 12th July 2022: The smallest of the four dams which supply water to Pune city, the Khadakwasla dam is 100% full now. Considering the intense rains in the catchment areas, the discharge of water from the dam has been increased to 11,900 cusecs from 1 pm today, informed Yogesh Bhandalkar, Assistant Engineer, Mutha Canal Irrigation Sub Division, Swargate.

The water has been discharged from the dam since midnight when the dam was 75% full. It started with 1,000 cusecs which has now increased to 11,900 cusecs. The water level in Mutha river is expected to increase.

Panshet Dam, Varasgaon Dam, Temghar Dam and Khadakwasla Dam provide water to Pune city and Daund taluka areas.
