Pune: Khadakwasla Dam to Release 15,442 Cusecs Water from 2 PM, Public Alert Issued
Pune, 19th August 2025: Authorities have announced that water discharge from Khadakwasla Dam into the Mutha river basin will be raised on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the irrigation department, the current discharge of 11,878 cusecs will be raised to 15,442 cusecs at 2 pm. Officials also cautioned that the discharge may be further increased or reduced depending on rainfall and inflow into the dam.
Mohan Bhadane, Sub-Divisional Engineer, Mutha Canal Irrigation Sub-Division, Swargate, Pune, issued the notice urging citizens to remain vigilant. People living along the riverbanks have been advised to take necessary precautions in view of the fluctuating discharge levels.
