Pune: Khadki Police Seize 22 KG Ganja, Two Arrested In Drug Bust
Khadki, 9th May 2023: Pune City Police have arrested two persons who were found selling ganja in the Khadki area of Pune.
Navin Umakant Pillay (34) and Jitendra Kuldeep Singh Mulgani (32) were caught with 22 kg of ganja and two two-wheelers were seized from them. Acting on a tip-off, the police team set up a trap to catch the suspects.
When the suspects saw the police, they attempted to escape on their bikes. However, they were chased and caught by the police. A search of their bag revealed 22 kg of ganja.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police Shashikant Borate, Assistant Commissioner Aarti Banso de, Senior Police Inspector Vishnu Tamhane, Inspector (Crime) Mansingh Patil, Assistant Inspector Amar Kadam, Sub-Inspector Vaibhav Magdoom, Sub-Inspector Bhanudas Bhalerao, Tanaji Kamble, Sandesh Nikalje, Jahangir Pathan, Rishikesh Dighe, Shivraj Khed, and Sagar Jadhav.
