Kharadi, 10th August 2026: The Kharadi-Keshavnagar bridge is set to open for traffic on August 15, with Pune Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram directing officials to complete the remaining work on priority.

Commissioner Ram on Monday inspected several ongoing development and infrastructure projects across the city along with senior civic officials and engineers. During the inspections, he directed officials to expedite pending works and ensure timely completion.

During an inspection of the proposed road widening project between ABC Farm Chowk and Tadigutta Chowk on North Main Road, Ram directed officials to immediately shift utility lines that are obstructing the widening work. He also instructed officials to expedite the remaining land acquisition process and complete the road widening work at the earliest.

Ram subsequently inspected the road near Hadapsar Railway Station, where stormwater drainage and sewerage line works are currently underway. He directed officials to complete the work on priority, considering the heavy traffic movement on the road.

The Commissioner also instructed civic officials, contractors and technical consultants to coordinate closely to ensure that ongoing project work does not cause unnecessary disruption to traffic.

During the inspection of the Kharadi-Keshavnagar bridge, Ram directed the Chief Engineer (Roads) to complete all necessary works required to open the bridge to traffic by August 15.

However, work on the approach road to the bridge will continue even after it is opened to traffic.

The Municipal Commissioner appealed to citizens to cooperate with the civic administration while the remaining work is completed.
