Pune, 12th November 2025: Despite publicly announcing plans to cancel the controversial purchase deed of a 40-acre government land parcel in Mundhwa, Amadea Enterprises LLP has not initiated any official process for cancellation as of Tuesday, November 11. Consequently, the Registration and Stamps Department has given the company 15 days to pay the evaded stamp duty.

The case involves Amadea Enterprises LLP, power of attorney holder (for the land) Sheetal Tejwani, and Tehsildar Suryakant Yevale, who have all been booked for alleged irregularities in obtaining stamp duty concessions. After details of the deal surfaced, the company announced its intention to withdraw from the transaction.

According to officials, representatives of Amadea Enterprises LLP visited the Sub-Registrar’s office last Friday to inquire about the cancellation procedure. In response, the Registration and Stamps Department issued a notice directing the firm to pay 7% stamp duty — ₹21 crore for the original purchase deed and another ₹21 crore for its cancellation — totalling ₹42 crore.

However, five days after the notice, officials confirmed that the company has neither initiated the cancellation process nor submitted a response. The firm must now present its case before the department within the 15-day deadline, after which a decision will be taken on whether to cancel the registration.

If Amadea Enterprises fails to comply within the stipulated period, authorities are likely to initiate recovery and seizure proceedings against the company.
